There is a rumor going round about Worldwatch going to be finished by John Byrne.

You never heard about Worldwatch? It was an adult (which means XXX) take on The Authority by writer Chuck Austen and the first three issues were drawn by Tom Derenick. Personally I loved to read Austen's stories, even the ones that were being criticized over, like the Romeo & Juliet take on the X-Men (Uncanny X-Men #437–441).

But having John Byrne step up to the plate and finish this project...well. It seems very unlikely, especially since Chuck Austen himself is quiet on that front as well as the fact that the original source of this rumor (The Comic Outsider) labeled this project under the tag "Devilish Rumours"...

Still...I would like it to be finished for sure! And maybe indeed by Byrne, who is a legend on his own! His run on Fantastic Four and Superman still makes me weak in the knees! I would of course prefer the original artist Derenick back for the sake of continuation, maybe even in that amazing grayscale style he did on Robert Weinberg's Nightside (published by Marvel Comics) so very well. Aaaa...sweet dreams are made of these!!
