Cavewoman is a sometimes mature and all the time sexy comic book series about a young girl, surviving in a world filled with dinosaurs. The creator and artist Budd Root is known for his sexy and racy covers, besides being notorious neglectful in regards to deadlines. I say this with positive sarcasme in my voice, since this tardiness is also one of the things the smallest publishers often face and is often caused by their small (if existing) overhead and the fact that a sole artist is responsible for the complete process. And when life happens, that is when deadlines become irrelevant.

For this year's Heroes Con 2009, Royce and Eric Thrower - Team Throver Art Studios Inc. - are teaming up with artist Budd Root and are currently working on a dual set of Cavewoman sketchbooks, after its amazing success of last year's editions. The duality of these sketchbook is that one set is a regular cover and the other is of a more adult nature.

Shown here is the regular version.

In the course of this week signed copies of the Heroes Con 2008 (both mature and regular) will be up on the site of the publisher; Amryl Entertainment. Soon after the Heroes Con 2009 the new sets will be put online as well.

Other Cavewoman news:

Going to press this week are three new art prints and a brand new Cavewoman trading card set (a small 20 card set) and uncut sheets of said trading card set.
Next month will also see the release of the one-shot Cavewoman Red Menace (a Rob Durham story/artwork book, with a Budd Root alternate cover) and Budd Root's Cavewoman Cover Gallery #2 with all the covers Budd has done so far.
After this Cavewoman Pangaean Sea #11 is up in the schedule of the publisher, which should be coming out late summer 2009.
