Budd Root's Cavewoman is a secret read for many professional artists and here is why:
Hey everybody, we're back! I am sure many were wondering where we were for the past 1.5 months or so with Budd's paintings. We took a break from Ebay and sold a good chunk of paintings away from Ebay to our Cover/Pinups customer list I maintain where we only offer high end pieces every now and then. Going into December, we wanted to put some new ones back on Ebay, and here we go! This painting is VERY colorful, action packed and called "Fish Attack!". I am about 5 seconds away from using this for a special cover for a May 2010 Budd book we have coming up, details to follow later, but I think that's how it's gonna play out. This beautiful piece is approx. 16" x 10" in size and done with Pigmas Pens, Pellikan Transparent Watercolors, and Roseart Pro Pencils.
Meriem was out fishing and has a belt full of dinner fish when Mr. Mean Dino decided he wanted some fish or maybe a little Cavewoman for dinner. I am betting this will end with Meriem having not only fish for dinner, but a giant water dino (that is the creature's official name - "giant water dino") if she wishes, the way she is flinging that knife around...
Hmmm, that bikini top doesn't seem to fit the rest of the artwork.
I think you know what that means and where to go to see what you need to see...
We REALLY, REALLY appreciate the business and interest in Budd's artwork and books! THANKS!
