Welcome to Friday, folks! I hope we had a productive week, and I know for sure we're looking forward to an awesome weekend. Before that starts though, let's get some Stew on! There's not so much in the way of news today - more like a bunch of "Holy crap, that's kinda cool" stuff.

Beaton's Hunt for a Date

I wanted to show this on Wednesday, but I was running out of time. It's a bit dated, but Webcomic Overlook posted a funny little comic strip by Kate Beaton. From the pages of Strange Tales II by Marvel, Beaton brings us "A Distraction", featuring Spider-Man and Kraven the Hunter.

If this piques your interest, pick up a copy of Strange Tales II. It's a tough find, but I'm sure you can manage.

Super Fantastic Justice Team, GO!

We've seen Marvel's Mangaverse, Batman in both anime and manga, and Grant Morrison's Super Young Team, but we have never seen a Japanese-inspired Justice League in comics. But we could have!

According to Wonder Woman artist Cliff Chang, these bits of concept art that drifted through the DC offices almost became a thing. Check out io9 for more information.

Bat-Stained

Thank goodness for places like Etsy. Otherwise, we wouldn't get awesome stuff like this:

This print goes for $25 on the hand-made goods website, and imitates the look of a stained glass window. The character designs seem to be based on those created by Bruce Timm for the Batman Animated Series of yore, with the added bonus of the Red Hood. Great for any Batcave (or Bat-Breakfast Nook)!

For Your Earholes: Acmecast

I don't have a video for you guys today, but I do have a recommendation.

If you're a comics fan, and furthermore if you are a comics fan in North Carolina (my home state), you should check out Acme Comics's Acmecast. Jermaine Exum, Stephen Mayer and crew rock out for an hour or so recounting the events and general comics news for the week. I've been listening to the Acmecast while posting these Stews for the past week or so, and I'm not ashamed to admit that it is a recently important news source for me. It can be the same for you to. Check them out!
