Just as comic books were physically larger in the Golden Age, the artistic shadows of Joe Simon and Jack Kirby cast a larger shade over the comics community in the forties and sixties than any other creators. Science fiction adventurer Blue Bolt set the mark for a new era in comics-dom as Simon and Kirby started collaborating and hit upon a creative spark that would take the industry by force, setting the standard for dynamic storytelling on the costumed heroes front.
