Yesterday the Attack of the Show's Blar Butler (by the way...such a beauty walking around talking comics...had me geek out all around!) was talking about a spectacular scoop, concerning the Top Cow Pilot Season...
The Top Cow Pilot Season has garnered great praise all around and it developed many great projects. It lets readers and online voting determine the next mini-series, based on several one-shots coming out, making the direct fan-input a marketing tool yet unheared off.
The first Season in 2007 was a competition between several Top Cow characters, like The Angelus, Cyblade, Velocity, Ripclaw, Aphrodite IX and The Necromancer. Cyblade was the winner of this cycle and writer Joshua Hale Fialkov and artist Rick Mays developed a great series, based on this oneshot.
The second Season in 2008 was a competition between up-and-coming writers with newly developed characters; Twilight Guardian, Genius, Urban Myths, The Core, Lady Pendragon and Alibi.
The third season now went public with minimal details, but what stands out that this time all five series will be developed by Robert Kirkman and Marc Silvestri, with Top Cow founder and CEO Marc Silvestri doing all covers!
