Ape Entertainment is pleased to announce the addition of hit horror series NIGHTMARE WORLD to its list of 2007 titles.

With almost four years of weekly updates and a catalogue of over 350 pages of creepy content in tow, Dirk Manning and his gruesome gang of eerie artists are bringing the award-winning horror series NIGHTMARE WORLD to Ape Entertainment.

Paying homage to spine-tingling terror and spooky speculative fiction in the vein of EC Comics and The Twilight Zone, NIGHTMARE WORLD has gained a steady cult-like following over the years, grabbing readers by the throat with short stories known for their terrifying intensity, macabre humor, and tear-inducing tragedies.

“We’ve been giving readers a brand new eight-page NIGHTMARE WORLD story every month for almost four years now,” says series writer/creator Dirk Manning,

“Being a fan of on-line version of NIGHTMARE WORLD for years I have watch the series twist and contort into one of the best on-line horror comics available.  “It is our pleasure to welcome Dirk Manning and the NIGHTMARE WORLD crew into Ape Entertainment family of titles.” said Ape Entertainments Co-Publisher and General Partner Brent E. Erwin.

NIGHTMARE WORLD is a four issue limited-series that will feature twelve stories from the official NIGHTMARE WORLD web site (www.Nightmareworld.com), including two classic early stories completely re-illustrated by their original art teams. Keeping with the series E.C. Comics inspiration; each story will be introduced by a full-sized version of its original cover along with a brand-new “Horror host” style introduction by series creator Dirk Manning himself.

“I’m finally getting to live my childhood dream of being the Crypt Keeper,” Manning laughs. “Momma Manning is so proud!”

As an added bonus, the covers to the four issues will connect to form a giant “13th”story for the readers to enjoy. “The 13th story is one giant image that will answer a question raised both by the stories selected for this volume as well as long-time readers,” Manning teases. “I don’t want to go into too many details of course, but I will say that it involves the Cthulhu and Armageddon subplots quite heavily.”
