Arcana Studio and the creators of 100 Girls are pleased to announce the winners of their first pinup contest!

In December, 2004, fans of the 100 Girls comic were asked to put pen to paper and submit their best rendition of 100 Girls’ main character, Sylvia Mark, as well as the other 100 plus members of the cast! This week, writer Adam Gallardo and artist Todd Demong waded through all the entries, argued, and finally settled on the three pieces which were awarded first, second and third place. Now, we received more good entries than we had sluts to fill (and we mean that… we feel bad because we got some fantastic art)! So, the following really are truly a cut above!

And the winners are:

1. Jeffrey 'Chamba' Cruz of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
2. Betsy Luntao of Lodi, California
3. Erich Owen, of Nashvegas

For their incredible submissions, these three artists will take home prizes that include signed copies of 100 Girls 1 to 5, original artwork by series artist Todd Demong, and more! But the biggest prize is having their pinups published in 100 Girls #5 in July and the acknowledgement that comes with getting your work published.

“What surprised me wasn’t the number of pieces we received,” said Adam Gallardo, “but the quality of all the pieces we got. Todd and I had a very tough time choosing the winners.”

Todd Demong added, “We wanted to do this contest to help make the fans more a part of the comic. It’s because of these fans that we have any success at all.”

Arcana Studio began publishing 100 Girls in August 2004. Since that time, the bi-monthly title has sold out its premiere issue, been well reviewed among a loyal fan base online, and is currently being discussed as a television series.

100 Girls #5, featuring the winners of the pinup contest, will be available from Arcana Studio in July. Thirty-two pages in full color, the book retails for $2.95. Please visit your local comic book retailer or www.ArcanaStudio.com/100Girls for more information.
