The Astonish Factory has been overrun by Grommitts.

The Grommitts, brand new characters from the mind of Mike Kunkel, arrived in the studio recently, and things around the ol' Astonish Factory haven’t been the same since. The characters--KID FIN, his sister SWIRL, their robot BATTERY BOY, and their friend FRAZZ--have demanded top billing within the company, even asking for their own books and line of merchandise. The Astonish Factory is even now finding licensing partners to help feed the little creatures’ demands.

“It’s hard enough working with a Herobear and some Sokmunsters, but these darn Grommitts are into everything,” said Mike Kunkel, creator of the Grommitts. “They appeared innocently enough. But with their ‘daddio this’ and their ‘hey, poppa, that’, they quickly took over the entire studio.” Numerous plans have already been made for the Grommitts. First and foremost, a mini-line of Grommitts merchandise from the Astonish Factory is designed, along with a brand new forthcoming book in the works: Grommitts: Philosophies for Life, Dude.

Created at the Factory in the Style and Spirit of childhood fun, these characters are now a bold part of the appeal of the Astonish family and everyone is embracing the Grommitts way.“They have been so convincing that we are now starting to look at other companies in letting the licensed Grommitts run wild on their merchandise. Any other fun companies interested should contact us ASAP. They’re a wild bunch, and we’re not sure how long they’ll wait.”

The goal of The Astonish Factory is to introduce long-lasting, fun stories and appealing characters with heart, humor, meaning, and positive values for All Ages.

As always, they encourage readers to: “Remember your childhood…and pass it on.”
