After some shipping difficulties, Nick Schley's Abiding Perdition is now back on schedule with a whopping three issues shipping in October.

Abiding Perdition #1 and #2 will land on retailer shelves on October 19th and the third instalment of the series coming a week or so later, reaching US stores by October 30th.

Schley’s creation has proved a great success and although originally planned to be published by APC, the book has gone on to make solid sales each month.

Nick Schley, creator of the series explains the delay to retailers and the success of the book.

"I personally just want to assure both the retailer and the readers out there that the lateness on the first two issues was entirely out of ours and the publisher’s hands. The books were finished well before deadline and we even released a gold foil stamped special edition #1 that sold out at the San Diego Comicon and Wizard World show we did in Chicago.

”We were waiting for over a month for the order adjust for issue one – which we should have received in July, but only received the order on 15th August, some five weeks late, putting the book already into lateness. Add to that the time it takes for DCD to get the books out to each distributor location… and you have a book that is over two months late”.

“We really appreciate the massive support from the retailers, as well as the wonderful fans, out there that gave Abiding Perdition a try and we want to make sure that the fans buying the series want to continue that for the length of the series”.

“This problem with shipping threw a serious wrench in the gears, and we have done everything we possibly can to produce a great comic and ship it to the fans on time".

“We’ve been talking to our publisher, Markosia, about continuing the series as an ongoing. We originally planned several mini series – but the strong sales have made us think about continuing the book, re-launching it with many multiple covers from issue #7… so watch this space!!!”.

“We’ve just added a second cover to issue #4 – and retailers who order the book will get a 50/50 split of each cover. DCD will be running a ‘Previews Update’ listing and retailers will be able to re-order this cover as well as the cool wraparound cover by Pedro Delgado”.

For fans who have picked up copies of issue one and would like to see an advance preview of issue #4, please visit the Markosia website at www.markosia.com.
