Independent comic publisher Ape Entertainment has reached an agreement with independent toy manufacturers Applehead Factory to publish a line of comic book graphic novels based on the popular TEDDY SCARES plush toy line.
Ape Entertainment plans to produce TEDDY SCARES as sixty-four page, full color, digest sized graphic novels featuring stories from some of today’s brightest up-and-coming horror makers.
“We’ve had great success with some of our other horror properties such as SULLENGREY, HORRORWOOD, and U.T.F. so pursuing the license to TEDDY SCARES seemed like a natural step.” said Ape Entertainment’s David Hedgecock. “We couldn’t be more excited that Applehead has agreed to trust us with this excellent property.”
Talented artists are encouraged to participate in the “TEDDY SCARES TALENT SEARCH” being held during Wizard World Chicago August 3rd – 5th at booth number “s25”. Ape Entertainment and Applehead Factory representatives will be on hand for portfolio review sessions. Submissions are also being accepted at Ape Entertainment’s website (www.ApeComics.com) where a complete set of submission guidelines can be found.
