Imajimation Studios and Street Legends Ink are teaming together to turn the hip, urban, independent comic Blokhedz into an animated feature film.

Based on an original concept by Mark and Mike Davis (The Madtwiinz) Blokhedz centers on Blak, a young, aspiring rapper, as he struggles to avoid temptation and survive the mean streets of Empire City. After his brother is brutally murdered, Blak discovers that he has the power to manifest his rap lyrics into physical reality and sets out to use his newfound abilities to bring his brother’s murderers to justice.
Already a successful comic book, Blokhedz has spawned a line of much sought after vinyl figures and will soon become an animated feature targeted not only at the Hip Hop audience but fans of quality comics and animation as well. The ultimate aim is to bridge the gap and create new fans for both comics and animation as well as Hip Hop music/culture out of those who may only be fans of one or the other.
