Disney Mobile, in partnership with Marvel Entertainment, LLC, today announced its CAPTAIN AMERICA: Sentinel of Liberty App for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch is now available on the App Store. CAPTAIN AMERICA: Sentinel of Liberty is an epic action game set in World War 2 complete with stunning HD graphics and an original storyline and soundtrack. Players assume the role of the famous comic book character in a mission to stop the Red Skull from tipping the balance of power.
CAPTAIN AMERICA: Sentinel of Liberty features spectacular graphics and precise touch controls allowing players to execute wall runs, slide under traps, and unleash devastating combo attacks with dynamic intensity. The game features 24 levels, each with multiple pathways and hidden areas, unfolding over three episodes. In addition, the game includes unlockables, high score leader boards and extra features to add to the gameplay experience. The action comes to life with an original story and script written by Marvel writer Christos Gage and comic panels by Marvel artists Ron Lim and Christopher Sotomayor. A compelling original soundtrack completes the Captain America experience.
“With so much excitement surrounding the forthcoming Captain America movie, we are excited to bring fans a challenging style of gameplay, based on one of the most iconic comic book heroes of all time," said Bart Decrem, GM of Disney Mobile. "The game looks and plays great on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, and we can't wait to get it into the hands of CAPTAIN AMERICA fans around the globe."
The launch of CAPTAIN AMERICA: Sentinel of Liberty on the App Store coincides with the release of Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios’ feature film “Captain America: The First Avenger.” The film’s storyline will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull (Hugo Weaving).
The CAPTAIN AMERICA: Sentinel of Liberty App is available for $4.99 from the App Store on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch or at the Appstore.
