Broken Frontier

Checker Book Publishing Group will be participating in the FCBD activities at Bookery Fantasy in Fairborn, Ohio on May 7th.  Activities will include an hourly raffle of Checker books starting at noon, with prizes ranging from copies of individual books to full title sets.  Prizes total to over $350 in retail value!

This is the fourth year that Bookery Fantasy will be celebrating FCBD, and the first year for Checker.  Other guests at Bookery will include local comic artist Justin Wasson, creator of Gemini Serials, who will be creating a FCBD mini-comic exclusively for Bookery.  There have also been rumors of yet-unnamed superheroes making appearances throughout the day!

FCBD was started four years ago, and this year over 1900 stores worldwide will be participating.  Publishers such as DC, Marvel, Image, Fantagraphics, Top Shelf, and many others will have their exclusive FCBD comics for the taking on May 7th. 

Checker is thrilled to be teaming up with Bookery owner Steven Bates for FCBD.  Visit your local comic shop on May 7th and join the celebration!
