JLA #115 (APR050343), the first chapter of the 5-part “Crisis of Conscience” storyline, has sold out at DC Comics. The story, written by Geoff Johns & Allan Heinberg with art by Chris Batista & Mark Farmer and a cover by Rags Morales & Farmer, spins out of IDENTITY CRISIS.
“Thanks to DC for allowing me the opportunity to work with one of my best friends on such an extraordinary project,” says Heinberg. “Thanks to the hugely talented Chris Batista, Mark Farmer, (colorist) David Baron, (letterer) Ken Lopez, and (cover artist) Rags Morales for their continued generosity and artistry. And thanks to our amazingly supportive and understanding editorial team: Mike Carlin and Michael Siglain.”
“I’m thrilled I got to work with Allan on this,” says Johns. “He’s an amazing guy and an amazing talent. And Chris is turning in work that’s just stunning. Thanks to everyone for checking it out!”
“Stories relating to IDENTITY CRISIS continue to resonate with readers, so this issue sold very nicely for us,” says Bob Wayne, DC’s VP — Sales. “Retailers should look at their orders on upcoming issues as soon as possible.”
Upcoming chapters of “Crisis of Conscience” are available as follows:
• JLA #116 (MAY050235) is available for advance reorder and is scheduled to arrive in stores on July 13.
• JLA #117 (JUN050372) is solicited in the June Previews and is scheduled to arrive in stores on August 10.
• JLA #118 (JUL050234) is solicited in the July Previews and is scheduled to arrive in stores on September 14.
• JLA #119 (JUL050235) is solicited in the July Previews and is scheduled to arrive in stores on September 28.
DC has no plan to reprint JLA #115 at this time. Copies may still be available at retail.

As the repercussions of IDENTITY CRISIS continue to rock the DCU, IDENTITY CRISIS #1 Final Printing (FEB050286) has sold out at DC Comics. This issue reprints the first chapter of the blockbuster miniseries written by New York Times bestselling author Brad Meltzer, with art and a cover by Rags Morales & Michael Bair.
“I’m amazed that this story has had such a life. I couldn’t be any more excited,” says Morales. “IDENTITY CRISIS is about family — not just wives and husbands, but families of heroes and villains. We’d like to thank everybody for becoming part of DC’s family of ideas. As for the hardcover collection, this is the comic I always wanted — it gets inside the heads of the creators with art and commentary you’re not going to see anywhere else.”
The miniseries will be collected in September in the IDENTITY CRISIS HC — Direct Market Version (JUN050351), with a cover by Michael Turner, and the IDENTITY CRISIS HC — Book Market Version (JUN050352), with a cover by Rags Morales & Michael Bair.
Both versions collect the entire 7-issue miniseries, along with an introduction by Joss Whedon, commentary by Meltzer, and art from Morales’s sketchbook.
