CRYPTOZOO CREW already was the strangest creature in the comic shop – a truly funny book! Starting this July, it’s going to graphic novel format. Twice a year!
CRYPTOZOO CREW VOLUME ONE tells the story of Cryptozoologist Tork Darwyn and his adventurous wife Tara in escapades with Chupacabra, Yeti, Carnivorous Plants, New Zealand Cave Monkeys, Mothman, Skunk Apes and Giant Squid. It’s quite a range of critters, but there is a common thread. Tork can solve the mysteries of these strange creatures, but he’ll never figure out the most unique one of all – his wife!
CRYPTOZOO CREW VOLUME ONE collects issues #1 and #2 in entirety – PLUS four additional stories! “This is a great time for new readers to jump on board,” said artist Jerry Carr, “Plus, the new format gives us more flexibility to tell stories of varying lengths. That does not mean we don’t still want to do comic books. There will be occasional special issues done as a comic book! For example, we’re planning a standalone ‘origin’ issue this fall with a FRANK CHO cover. This book will always be available as a powerful introduction to the characters in the ongoing series of graphic novels.”
Here’s what they’re saying about Cryptozoo Crew:
“Irreverent, boldly drawn, and, yes, funny.” – Comic Buyer’s Guide “Congratulations to NBM - it's a thoroughly fun read.” – Off the Presses, Scoop “Instantly hooked.” – Greg McElhatton, Ninth Art, Things to Come “This book is highly addictive.” – Bill Baker, WorldFamousComics, Baker’s Dozen “Now that’s funny stuff.” – Tony Isabella, Tony's Online Tips “A fun read for all ages.” – The Fortean Times
