DarkBrain is very excited to announce that the popular edgy web comic publisher is seeking candidates to write the next 6 issues of Grace Comes Home!

Grace Comes Home, one of DarkBrain’s most popular titles, is an action-packed science fiction story and the perfect candidate to be its writer will have a strong background in writing comics within the science fiction genre and a character-driven focus. DarkBrain compensates its writers and artists with a cash and royalties system. The selected candidate will be paid a fee for the 6 scripts of Grace Comes Home, to be agreed upon by DarkBrain and the candidate. Essentially the higher the fee paid in cash, the lower royalties will be paid out. Royalties can range anywhere from 0 to 15%, with 15% going to candidates selected a “royalties only” payment structure. And, please be advised that the cash fee is considered by DarkBrain as advance royalties and no additional royalties will be paid until they exceed the fee paid in cash. Please read the guidelines and eligibility requirements carefully. Any submission that does not follow the guidelines or meet the eligibility requirements won’t be considered.

Eligibility Requirements: 1. Must be a published comic book writer (self-published is ok) 2. Must be a science fiction writer and be fluent in the genre 3. Must be at least 18 years old 4. Must feel very comfortable writing adult content, including violence, sex and adult language 5. Must possess a strong collaborative spirit as the selected candidate will work closely with DarkBrain’s publisher to develop plotlines and scripts and candidates must be willing to adapt to changes and suggestions to meet DarkBrain goals
Submission Guidelines: Interested candidates should send an email to SusanSoares@darkbrain.com describing their experience writing science fiction for comics. All submissions must include one script sample (22 page max.) Candidates must also provide DarkBrain with a proposed fee for 6 22-page issues.
