ARCANA STUDIO’s DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES #1 is sold out at the publisher! Having hit the newsstands three weeks ago, DMTNT #1 has been completely absorbed by a ravenous market! This is no small feat for ARCANA STUDIO as the book was overprinted by 55% above initial orders plus, at the Baltimore Retailer Summit, an ultra-rare free copy of the DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES #1 Retailer Exclusive was made available. Even with all of that, we still did not have enough product to meet demand!
“Due to the extreme quality of this project,” offered ARCANA STUDIO’s owner, Sean O’Reilly, “ARCANA STUDIO overprinted on Dead Men #1 by an unprecedented amount. (I mean, 55% over initial orders! Come on! Even I thought I was nuts for going that far!) But, ultimately it wasn't enough. It's a great time for creators as there are lots of opportunities for independent publishing, but at the same time it makes it a really competitive market. For us to get a good initial purchase order and then to receive an overwhelming amount of reorders...well it's been great. This is Arcana Studio’s fastest sell out book since ANT! And it seems that it is going to see the same meteoric rise as that title!”
“This is just wonderful news,” said Dead Men Tell No Tales’ editor, Egg Embry. “Dead Men is a total labor of love for everyone involved! To see it do so well is amazing! If I could, I want to congratulate Dwight MacPherson, Michael DeVito, Mike Fiorentino, Fernando Acosta, Tony DeVito, Jon Conkling, and Sean O’Reilly for all of their hard work in making this book such a success! I’d also like to thank all of the retailers and fans that are trying out our treasure! Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
Even though DMTNT #1 is sold out from ARCANA STUDIO, there is still time for retailers to adjust their orders on DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES #2 (JUL052631), #3 (AUG052701), and #4 (SEP052746).
DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES
In the golden age of piracy, Captain Kidd, Blackbeard, and Black Bart Roberts, the three most reviled pirates in history, contend for the most sacred prize the world has ever known - the lost Relics of Christ! Their battle stained the seven seas crimson leaving only dead men who would tell no tales. But the dead have a way of speaking without words…
