Beginning today, and continuing until the end of the month, DF will be donating a total of 15% of their gross online sales to three industry charities. The effort is being done on behalf of Dynamic Forces in an effort to "Give something back to our industry and our art form" according to DF President Nick Barrucci.

The monies generated for the next 14 days (through end of day February 28th) will come from sales completed on the DF website, and the 15% will be split three ways, with 5% going to ACTOR (A Commitment to Out Roots), 5% to the CBLDF (Comic Book Legal Defense Fund) and 5% to MoCCA (the Museum of Comics and Cartoon Art). Fans and customers can do their part by simply making purchase at the DF site like they normally do, browsing signed comics, statues, lithos and the DF Daily special packages.

"The comics market is very important to me, and to be able to give back as part of our 13th Anniversary, is the best feeling in the world. And these organizations need as much financial help as is possible. This is our small way of giving as much as possible." Explained Barrucci.

When news of the plan spread, here's what the recipients had to say:

"Partners like Dynamic Forces are one in a million. ACTOR is pleased to be part of such a generous promotion with such a charitable company," said Jim McLauchlin, A.C.T.O.R. Comic Fund's President.

"Nick and Dynamic Forces have been among our most dynamic supporters since our relationship began -- pun intended. They are proactive, going out of their way to make the public aware of the importance of MoCCA's mission and the importance of giving," said Lawrence Klein of MoCCA.

The CBLDF was unavailable to provide a quote at press time.

But wait, there's more! In addition to the donations based on online sales, the ever-charitable Joe Quesada has also donated his personal copy of the DF produced Giclee, featuring his Daredevil vs. Spider-Man composition, which Alex Ross then painted. This signed and limited Giclee will be available for auction via eBay and all the proceeds will be going to ACTOR. But wait, there's still more! Michael (Powers artist and co-creator) Avon Oeming will be donating original art for the E-Bay auction as well, with all proceeds going to MoCCA! Any additional creators who wish to participate in the auctions for their favorite charities should contact DF by the first week in March.

Look for more details on these auctions and updates on the 14 day charitable promotion in the next few weeks.
