The online serialization of Scott Christian Sava’s acclaimed THE DREAMLAND CHRONICLES, which in January 2006 moved from a print comic to an online comic at http://www.thedreamlandchronicles.com, reached an amazing milestone last week: 1 million unique readers worldwide have tuned in to check out the comic, consistently one of the TOP TEN comics on the web according to the TOP WEB COMICS list.
Currently, a new page from what would be the 5th issue is being revealed online every weekday in the continuing epic.
This milestone is well timed as THE DREAMLAND CHRONICLES: BOOK ONE (ISBN: 978-0-9789168-0-0, $19.95, 300 pages, full-color perfectbound, 6” x 9”) hits retailers’ shelves this month. BOOK ONE (of an anticipated 6-book epic) collects the first four issues of the series called the “best all ages fantasy comic book on the market” [Comics Buyer’s Guide].
“This story is my passion,” said Sava. “I’m overwhelmed that so many readers have found their way to a story I delight in telling and illustrating. It’s staggering to me. And with fans eagerly anticipating the first collected edition, I couldn’t be more excited.”
“It’s been so many years since I dreamt…” So says 20-year-old Alexander Carter as he encounters Dreamland for the first time since his childhood. Now, armed with a long-lost key, Alex rejoins his childhood friends Nastajia the elf princess, Paddington the rock giant, and Kiwi the fairy, as he struggles to come to grips with his past, manage life as a college student, and somehow reconcile all of this while nightly visiting a land filled with giants, dragons, mermaids, and pirates. A land where he is needed. A land quickly approaching war with the Nightmare Realm.
All of Blue Dream Studios’s ALL-AGES titles are available at fine comic book shops and bookstores everywhere, and on amazon.com. If a retailer is out of THE DREAMLAND CHRONICLES or ED’S TERRESTRIALS, please ask them to get it for you!
