Chapter 5: The Great Race
Based on the true story of Ray and Faye Copeland, Family Bones is the tale of the oldest American couple found guilty of serial killing. The book is written by their nephew. This fifth chapter begins Sean's slide into madness. Beaten senseless by Ray, Sean's only hope is the help of the neighbor farm girl, Wendy. But she can't save him from the monsters when the lights go out under the patchwork quilt. By his fingernails Sean holds to the edge of his humanity while Ray continues to try and bring him deeper into the family.
FAMILY BONES is based on the TRUE STORY of the oldest married couple on Missouri's death row, as experienced one summer by their unwitting nephew.
