Seven comic book stores and many talented artists and writers throughout the U.S. have joined forces to collect donations for The Hero Initiative on Free Comic Book Day. Please come out and support our cause as well as thank these amazing new and old friends for their support!
Arizona
ATOMIC COMICS, www.atomiccomics.com
Hero will be at all four Atomic Comics locations to help with Atomic’s sketch donation program where the creator sketches drawn that day will have all proceeds split between both Hero and the CBLDF. Hero will have an actual booth at the Mesa Superstore with all kinds of Hero merchandise on display. In addition, CGC has generously decided that 40% of the proceeds of all the Signature Series comic books submitted to them for certification will be donated to The Hero Initiative and the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund.
CGC and Atomic Comics will also be auctioning off passes on Ebay under Steve Borock’s account (Certifyit) to a private party the night of FCBD, where the winners get to hang out with some of the FCBD guests including Jim Lee! Not just that, but ALL the proceeds from these auctions go to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund and The Hero Initiative! Atomic Comics and CGC are paying for all of this! Go to http://qurls.com?i=33672 to bid now! This is a one day auction starting today 10am PDT and ending tomorrow morning 10am.

The Hero Initiative is the first-ever federally chartered not-for-profit corporation dedicated strictly to helping comic book creators in need. Hero creates a financial safety net for yesterdays' creators who may need emergency medical aid, financial support for essentials of life, and an avenue back into paying work. It's a chance for all of us to give back something to the people who have given us so much enjoyment. For more information, call 310-909-7809 or visit www.HeroInitiative.org.
