Film Adaptation of Warren Ellis' "Red" gets Release Date

Variety reports that the silver screen adaptation of Warren Ellis' 2003 WildStorm miniseries will be released in theaters Oct 22, 2010.
The comic tells the tale of a retired CIA assassin who is driven back into action when his old bosses try to kill him because he knows too much.
The film will be directed by German film director Robert Schwentke (Flightplan, The Time Traveler's Wife) and will star Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman and Helen Mirren.
