Actor Morgan Freeman has been cast as Sloan in Universal Pictures’ Wanted, based on the hit Top Cow comic by Mark Millar and J.G. Jones.
The award-winning Freeman, who recently won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor alongside Clint Eastwood and Hilary Swank in last year's Million Dollar Baby, will play next to lead actor James McAvoy, who stars as Wanted protagonist Wesley Gibson.
The film will be helmed by Russian director Timur Bekmambetov, who rose to cult status with Nochnoy Dozor (Night Watch).
