Artist Patrick Gleason has signed a 2-year exclusive agreement with DC Comics. Gleason, the monthly penciller of AQUAMAN, also drew the Special JLA: WELCOME TO THE WORKING WEEK.
“Being a part of DC is like being a part of history,” says Gleason. “I'm so honored that they want me among their ranks. It has been my absolute privilege to work with the best writers, editors and behind-the-scenes crews there. [Senior Editor] Pete Tomasi is one of those people. Without him, I wouldn’t be in this position. He's always been a stand-up editor and true to his word. I'll be proud to continue to work for him and DC Comics.”
“Patrick breathes energy, passion and detail into each page, and it's been a true pleasure watching him hone his craft over the past few years,” says Tomasi. “It also doesn't hurt that he's a consummate pro and a pleasure to work with. AQUAMAN has never looked better, and we've got plans for Patrick that will put his work into even more readers’ hands.”
Upcoming issues of AQUAMAN are available as follows:
• AQUAMAN #27 (DEC040248) is available for advance reorder and is scheduled to arrive in stores on February 9.
• AQUAMAN #28 JAN050290 is solicited in the January Previews (Vol. XV #1) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on March 9.
• AQUAMAN #29 FEB050266 will be solicited in the February Previews (Vol. XV #2) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on April 13.
Gleason’s work also may be found in the JSA: SAVAGE TIMES TP (AUG040396), which is available for reorder.
