Variety reports that David Goyer is in talks to pen the script for the upcoming Supeman reboot provisionally entitled: Man of Steel. Goyer recently left TV’s FlashForward to focus on Hollywood projects.

Goyer also co-wrote both Batman Begins and the Dark Night and has previously collaborated with Christopher Nolan who is set to be “Godfather” in Warner Bros’ Superman reboot project. Goyer has penned several comic book scripts in the past, including the Blade films and the upcoming X-Men Origins: Magneto.

Superman 3.0 seems to be given the fast track to production, with more announcement probably forthcoming. There seems to be a race to get the Superman reboot in production before 2011, as the Superman trademark reverts to the Siegel and Shuster heirs in 2013.
