With more great ideas swirling around in his mind than he could ever release in the movie theaters at once, screenwriterKevin Grevioux has turned his vision to the comic medium with the launch of two separate comic lines. Each line will maintain the quality of vision fans have come to expect, while offering something for two distinct audiences.
A new, all-ages line of self-contained books will debut under the ASTOUNDING! Studios imprint. Featuring titles such as Valkyries, Guardian Heroes and The Hammer Kid, ASTOUNDING! Studios will bring fresh, new ideas to the ever-growing all-ages comic market.

DARKSTORM will be home to the properties similar in creative vision and maturity to Underworld. Alius Rex and The Pale Horsemen will transport readers from an 11th century battle between warring kingdoms, to the dark world of NSA assassins, to the seedy underbelly of modern day espionage.
When asked why he chose to launch these lines, Grevioux replied, “First, it's my love for comics. It's the culmination of a childhood dream. Creating your own characters and trying to tell the stories you’ve always wanted to tell since you where a kid, you gotta admit, is kind of cool.”
Just as Underworld was brought to life with mind blowing special effects and amazing imagery, so to will the Astounding and Darkstorm books with acclaimed artist Jack “Lions, Tigers and Bears” Lawrence and Leonel “David & Goliath” Castellani.
“I became an instant Underworld zombie as soon as I saw it up there on the big screen,” stated Hammer Kid artist Jack Lawrence. “So when I was offered the chance to work with Kevin I had to leap at it. I wasn't disappointed; his scripts are fresh and exciting, and the subject matter is everything I love in a comic story: powerful heroes (some willing, others not so), vicious monsters, high adventure and tension. I can see every one of these becoming a hit.”
“Working with Kevin is amazing,” exclaimed Valkyries artist, Castellani. “His script is awesome, and all the characters are lovable. If people get half the fun from reading it that I get from drawing it, then I’ll be totally satisfied.”
Deciding on a publisher for his works wasn’t easy, but after various meetings with several suitors, Grevioux decided to sign on with Alias Comics in order to bring these books to comic shops and other outlets.
“After DPG Visions fell through, a small imprint I was involved with for a short period of time, I was looking for publisher for my work,” stated Grevioux. “And when Mike S. Miller approached me regarding Alias I jumped at the chance to work with him. Mike then introduced me to Brett Burner, who is really an astute publisher as well as a great guy. So, going with Alias was really a no-brainer.”
The web sites for these two studios are currently under construction and should be online in the coming days.
