Dynamite Entertainment and Liquid Comics announced today a publishing partnership to release an omnibus graphic novel collecting the entire ten issues of Gamekeeper, an original comic book series created by acclaimed filmmaker, Guy Ritchie (Lock Stock…, Snatch and Sherlock Holmes).
This is the first complete collection of the Gamekeeper comic book series, which was originally released in 2007 and is now in development as a feature film with Warner Bros. and Joel Silver, producer of The Matrix.
"I'm interested in the visual sensibility of comic book storytelling, so creating a comic was an obvious and exciting prospect," commented Guy Ritchie. "The moment I saw the pages, I had a cinematic vision for what I know will make a great film."
Gamekeeper is a tale of epic espionage, telling one man's battle with the wild side of nature-and himself. Brock is a reclusive, enigmatic, groundsman who lives a quiet existence on the Morgan estate, until mercenaries invade it and destroy any remnants of his life he has left. Set on a path of vengeance, Brock is forced to bring the dark events of his past to light in an effort to unveil his enemies' sinister intentions. But as he is drawn in deeper, it becomes difficult to tell who has more power, the man Brock, or the animal within.
Liquid Comics Co-Founder, Gotham Chopra added, "Guy Ritchie is hands down the coolest film-maker around. To have collaborated with him on his original story The Gamekeeper has been one of the best creative experiences I've had. It's all edge."
Guy Ritchie's story is written by leading comic book talents, Andy Diggle (The Losers) and Jeff Parker (X-Men: First Class) with artwork by Mukesh Singh (Devi, Shadowhunter), Ron Randall and Ron Chan and a cover by John Cassaday (Astonishing X-Men, Planetary).
