The Hero Initiative announced today it is partnering with ComicsPriceGuide.com on its current membership drive by offering fans a complimentary, one-year Premium Membership to CPG when they sign up for the Gold or Excelsior! membership package to The Hero Initiative.
ComicsPriceGuide.com provides comic collectors with a one-stop source for comic data, an extensive cover gallery and a database where collectors can store their collections. “The best part is that the basic membership is free,” said Tom Gordon III, president of ComicsPriceGuide.com. “A Premium Membership allows members to keep their collections inventoried on the system. They can print out their comic want lists to take with them on any convention shopping spree. They can also sell books to other CPG members.”
The Hero Initiative creates a monetary safety net for yesterday’s creators who may need emergency medical aid, financial support for essentials of life and an avenue back into paying work. It’s a chance for fans to give something back to the people who have given them so much enjoyment. For more information, visit www.heroinitiative.org or call 818-997-6114.
Membership packages to The Hero Initiative are currently offered at four different levels: Bronze ($29), Silver ($99), Gold ($250) and Excelsior! ($500). Members receive a personalized membership card, a quarterly newsletter and a sketch card from a randomly selected artist. Higher levels of membership include invitations to VIP, members-only parties at conventions and items autographed by Stan Lee. To become a member of The Hero Initiative, fans can sign up at www.atomiccomicsstore.com/heroinitiative.html or on-site at The Hero Initiative booth at the following upcoming comic book conventions: New York Comic Con, Feb. 6-8; WonderCon, Feb. 27 - March 1; and Orlando MegaCon, Feb. 27 - March 1.
Once fans sign up for a Gold or Excelsior! package to Hero, they are instantly eligible for the free Premium Membership at ComicsPriceGuide.com and will be invited via e-mail to sign up.
“We have always believed in giving back. By partnering with Hero, ComicsPriceGuide.com and our 130,000-plus registered users can say thank you to the men and women who have created the hobby we all love and cherish,” said Gordon. “I believe that the one thing any comic fan can and should do is support Hero. Without the comic creators we would not be able to read our favorite books or see our favorite characters at the movies. Besides partnering with Hero, CPG is also going to raise awareness through several projects later this year.”
