The Hero Initiative announced today it is partnering with ComicArtFans.com on its current membership drive by offering a savings of $10 to fans who sign up for both organizations. “The $10 discount ultimately comes off the annual premium membership fee to ComicArtFans.com so that The Hero Initiative will receive its full fee,” according to ComicArtFans.com Owner Bill Cox.
In addition, all CAF members who become or already are Hero Initiative members will be flagged as such on the CAF website, earning them the recognition they deserve!
“With 40,000 registered users and more than 500 premium members, we feel that many comic art collectors that frequent our site would love to support Hero in this manner,” said Cox. “CAF has supported Hero in various ways for the past several years and we expect that by helping raise awareness of this new Hero program to our membership, that we'll continue to benefit Hero for years to come.”
ComicArtFans.com is an online hub where creators, fans and member collectors can meet to display, view, sell, auction and buy pieces of original comic book and comic strip art.
The Hero Initiative creates a monetary safety net for yesterday’s creators who may need emergency medical aid, financial support for essentials of life and an avenue back into paying work. It’s a chance for fans to give something back to the people who have given them so much enjoyment. For more information, visit www.heroinitiative.org or call 818-997-6114.
For the first time, The Hero Initiative is currently offering yearly memberships to the organization, and supporters can join for as low as $29, receiving a personalized membership card, a quarterly newsletter and a sketch card from a randomly selected artist. Higher levels of membership are also available and include invitations to VIP, members-only parties at conventions and items autographed by Stan Lee. To become a member of The Hero Initiative, fans can sign up at www.atomiccomicsstore.com/heroinitiative.html or on-site at The Hero Initiative booth at the following upcoming comic book conventions: Phoenix Cactus Comic-Con, Jan. 23-25; New York Comic Con, Feb. 6-8; WonderCon, Feb. 27 - March 1; and Orlando MegaCon, Feb. 27 - March 1.
To get the $10 discount, fans should visit ComicArtFans.com and click the HERO link in the top menu to review the details. To become a member of ComicArtFans.com, fans should visit www.comicartfans.com and sign up for an account.
