DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT released images and information today showcasing Highlander #12 with the final and ultimate chapter in Dynamite's first year of new Highlander stories. Scheduled for release in September, Highlander #12 is written by Brandon Jerwa with interior art by Carlos Rafael, and will be available with four stunning covers from such diverse talents as Michael Avon Oeming, Fabio Laguna, Jean Dias, and Alecia Rodriguez!
The first year of Dynamite's all-new Highlander comic books concludes here with a BANG!
The finale to Dynamite's first year of Highlander stories races toward one of the most unexpected finales ever! Taking place after the harrowing events of the movie Highlander: Endgame (which featured the fate of Connor MacLeod), Highlander #12 concludes the dark and startling three-issue storyline that has rocked the world of the Immortals. It's all been leading up to this moment as series writer Brandon Jerwa concludes his most explosive Highlander story yet, and Duncan MacLeod wrestles with the fate of the entire world - and that of his cousin Connor's very existence!
Dynamite stated, "One of Highlander's greatest strengths is that the series has the ability to utilize reality and integrate itself into history. The movies, books, television series and even the Dynamite series all draw from familiar times, places and events, allowing the Immortals and their Game to become a very dangerous and influential part of our world. Now, as the curtain falls on our first year of Highlander, writer Brandon Jerwa is skillfully taking Highlander outside the usual arena and giving fans a glimpse into the future of the Game… and the ultimate danger it presents for the world. This year-ending story arc brings together the elements of the movies and the television series that fans have waited for to present one of the most startling Highlander tales ever."
About the Highlander year-end finale, writer Brandon Jerwa added, "Duncan MacLeod and his little band of Immortal traveling companions (watch for the familiar faces, kids) are in it up to their necks this time! No one wants a repeat of the tragic event that ends issue 11, so our heroes have to work fast to stop the bizarre leader of the Eye from fulfilling her own twisted prophecies! And if that's not enough hype for you, try this on for size: we'll also reveal the final fate of Connor MacLeod!"
