Hollywoood. The 1950s. A city of glittering stars and movie premieres, where klieg lights telegraph into the night sky that there’s nothing more happening than a red carpet entrance.
An artificial world where people lead artificial lives in front of lights and cameras. But underneath it all is a world where dreams are crushed and fantasies are left unfulfilled, a place where merciless people would do anything to exact revenge. This is the world of HORRORWOOD.
Weaving its way through the ever-changing landscape of a blacklisted city, a landscape of cold wars and paranoia and the dying giant of the studio system, HORRORWOOD tells the story of four individuals, each with their own ties to fame and glory, who become embroiled in a murder mystery. It is a journey that will force one man to face his fears, another to take a chance, and a failed actress to finally see what’s important in life, as they face a maniacal madman and an evil cult where anyone could be a killer, anyone a pawn.
HORRORWOOD, the newest title from Ape Entertainment, is a four issue, bi-monthly mini-series of heart-pounding action and eerie mystery. It is written by Brandon Terrell with art by Brent Schoonover. HORRORWOOD will be available for order in the February issue of Diamond’s Previews catalog.
