Hurt Cast as Thunderbolt Ross

Actor William Hurt is joining the Incredible Hulk cast for the role of General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, the father of Betty Ross played by Liv Tyler.
Hurt’s coming aboard the Marvel Studios/Universal Pictures production means the cast has added another strong face to its already impressive line-up. Next to Hurt and the aforementioned Tyler, the cast also features Edward Norton (Bruce Banner/Hulk), and Tim Roth (Emil Blonsky/Abomination).
Hurt was last seen on The Good Shepherd and Mr. Brooks. His next appearances include Noise and Vantage Point.
Incredible Hulk is directed by Louis Leterrier from a screenplay by Zak Penn, and produced by Avi Arad, Gale Anne Hurd and Kevin Feige. Shooting is slated to begin this summer in Toronto for a June 13, 2008 release.
