Everything you needed to know about IDW's WWLA plans March 16-19, 2007.
Wizard World Los Angeles Con Exclusive
Limited to 1,000 copies, IDW will be offering a special show-exclusive variant sketch cover version of TRANSFORMERS: The MOVIE PREQUEL #1. You won't find this one in stores! Grab your copy for $10 and then have it signed by Don Figueroa and Chris Ryall.
Also, limited to 100 posters each, IDW will be selling exclusive posters featuring new characters and titles that will be announced at the show. As a bit of a tease, the posters feature all-new art by Todd McFarlane, Alex Garner, and Nick Simmons. Alex and Nick will be on hand to sign the posters during the show.
IDW Publishing Panel
IDW's panel is scheduled for 11 AM on Saturday, March 17 in room #511, the "Martin Nodell Room." In attendance at this panel will be IDW creators and editors, and the panel will be presided over by Editor-in-Chief Chris Ryall. Want to hear about future plans for 30 DAYS OF NIGHT, SCARFACE, ANGEL, TRANSFORMERS, and more? Want announcements of new books and word on a certain beloved artist working for IDW? Come on by the panel!
But get there early, because in addition to hearing about IDW's upcoming slate of books and an open Q&A, you might also notice the A&E cameras in the room. What are they filming? Read on...
IDW teams up with Gene and Nick Simmons to create new comics
The second half of IDW's panel will see the introduction of rock legend Gene Simmons and his son Nick Simmons. The two stars of A&E's GENE SIMMONS FAMILY JEWELS will be announcing a special partnership with IDW. And immediately after the panel, they will be headed down to IDW's booth to sign exclusive posters and meet the fans. And they just might be accompanied by one of Gene's characters (a character named Dominatrix) brought to life.
