Jamal Igle, the dynamic artist of the monthly DCU series FIRESTORM, has signed an exclusive contract with DC Comics.
“I’m so excited to continue being a part of the DC comics family,” says Igle. “It’s a relationship that goes back to 1989, sixteen years ago, when I worked as an intern in the Production and Editorial Departments. My first published work was from DC, and now my first ongoing series. I’m having so much fun working on FIRESTORM, and look forward to tackling some other DC icons as I move into my second year on the book.”
“Jamal has the best combination in a artist: he’s scary talented, super reliable, and one of the nicest guys in the business,” says Editor Steve Wacker. “He’s a triple threat, and all of us at DC are lucky to have him — and I’ve been lucky enough to work with him over the past few months on FIRESTORM, a book he was born to draw. (He’s also a heckuva singer, so if you see him at a con, request your favorite love song!)”
Upcoming issues of FIRESTORM are available as follows:
• FIRESTORM #21 (NOV050256) is available for advance reorder and is scheduled to arrive in stores on January 18.
• FIRESTORM #22 (DEC050255) is solicited in the December Previews (Volume XV #12) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on February 15.
• FIRESTORM: THE NUCLEAR MAN #23 (JAN050308) is solicited in the January Previews (Volume XVI #1) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on March 8.
