Phoenix, Arizona is known for more than just its blistering summertime heat. Phoenix is also making a name for itself with its thriving comics community. This Sunday that community will come together in the halls of the Glendale Civic Center to celebrate comics at the annual Phoenix Cactus Comicon.
Attendees will be able to meet Todd Nauck, the creator, writer and artist on Image's wildly successful WILDGUARD series. Raven Gregory, the creator/writer of the new Image title THE GIFT, will be on hand to talk all things comics with attending fans. Fans will also be able to meet Mike Bullock, creator and writer of the hot selling LIONS, TIGERS AND BEARS miniseries.
The convention runs Sunday, April 10th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and includes panels, contests, auctions and dozens and of retailer tables for local fans to scour in search of their favorite Image comics.
The Phoenix Cactus Comicon will be held at the Glendale Civic Center located at 5750 W. Glenn Drive in Glendale, Arizona.
The Glendale Civic Center is located 4 miles west of I-17, and one block north of Glendale Ave on 57th Drive. There is ample parking at the Civic Center as well as in the streets surrounding it. Parking is FREE. Free parking is also located at 59th Avenue, two blocks from the Glendale Civic Center.
