Vanguard Productions in concert with Wizard World presents, in Philadelphia (June 15-17, 2007), an appearance by three of the greatest creators to ever work in comics. Carmine Infantino, Joe Kubert and Jim Steranko! True living legends: Flash, Batgirl and Poison Ivy creator, Carmine Infantino; Hawkman, Sgt. Rock and Tarzan artist Joe Kubert; and comics' consummate sorcerer, Steranko, will make history with this once-in-a-lifetime group appearance at the Vanguard booth in Philadelphia at Wizard World East 2007.
In addition to films, bookcover illustrations and his Marvel comics innovations, Steranko, as an escape artist, incited a superheroic counterpart in Jack Kirby's Mister Miracle, and according to Pulitzer Prize-winning author Michael Chabon, Steranko was also the inspiration for the hero of THE AMAZING ADVENTURES OF KAVALIER & CLAY and its spin-off The Escapist.

See Eisner Hall of Famers Steranko and Infantino together in a first-time panel dialogue, moderated by historian, J. David Spurlock Saturday at 12:30-1:30, and meet Infantino, Steranko and Eisner Award nominated author, J. David Spurlock throughout the show, at the Vanguard booth #1316.
Noted graphic novelist and founder of the Joe Kubert School for Cartoon and Graphic Arts, Joe Kubert will participate in a panel talk with his son, Batman artist, Andy Kubert on Saturday at 2-3pm. Joe Kubert will appear with Steranko, Infantino and Vanguard publisher, J. David Spurlock at the Vanguard booth (#1316) on Saturday June 16, 2007 from 3:30-4:30 PM to sign copies of his How to Draw Superheroes book, Jesse James graphic novel and more. The Saturday Vanguard appearance is Joe Kubert's only scheduled signing.
