Prepare to Meet a Conversing Caterpillar, a Mad Hatter and a Vanishing Cat as Dynamite Entertainment's The Complete Alice in Wonderland hits stores this Wednesday!!!!
"What is the use of a book," thought Alice, "without pictures or conversations!"
Take one politely stubborn and opinionated young girl. Add a good squeeze to an overactive imagination. Shake in a heavy mix of puzzling and bizarre guides. Reduce all morals and lessons to a nonsensical degree. And send it all on a journey to nowhere.
This is the premium blend of ingredients that in 1854 Lewis Carroll combined to create a fairy tale unlike any other in his treasured and timeless children's stories, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and its sequel, Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There.
Now, Dynamite Entertainment is proud to present the most complete and vivid comic book adaptation of Lewis Carroll's genre bursting tales of young Alice and her adventures in Wonderland with The Complete Alice in Wonderland.
Designed as a four-issue series (each issue a massive 40 pages) and in stores this Wednesday (December 16th), Dynamite's The Complete Alice in Wonderland will include both Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and its sequel Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There, as well as the lost Looking-Glass chapter, "The Wasp in a Wig." This All-Ages adaptation is adapted by writers John Reppion and Leah Moore (the same writing team behind Dynamite's The Complete Dracula and Sherlock Holmes series), with art by Erica Awano. This creative team has taken the time to painstakingly preserve as much of the Lewis Carroll's original language and poetry as possible whilst attempting to capture the dreamlike qualities of his narrative.
Just as Wonderland is full of surprises, Dynamite's The Complete Alice in Wonderland #1 will feature a unique die-cut cover that opens to reveal an incredible image of Alice among some of Wonderland's most memorable (and bewildering) residents by none other than superstar artist John Cassaday! The entire four-issue series will be in full-color, with each issue containing 40 pages of story and art, plus Moore and Reppion will provide bonus material such as script pages, annotations and samplings of the original text by Lewis Carroll.
Take the trip down the rabbit hole with Dynamite this week!
