Robert Kirkman, creator/writer of THE WALKING DEAD and INVINCIBLE for Image Comics and writer of Marvel Team-Up and Ultimate X-Men for Marvel Comics, will be doing a mini tour of the West Coast beginning next week when he does signings in both Washington State and California.
Starting off in Washington, Kirkman will be signing at Comic Book Ink in Tacoma to help celebrate their 3-Year Anniversary on Saturday, October 22nd from 4:00pm - 6:00pm. Comic Book Ink is located at 1623 E. 72nd & Portland Ave, Suite 800, Tacoma, WA 98404.
"We're thrilled and lucky to have him visiting us," said Jon Munn, owner of Comic Book Ink.
Early the same day, he will appear on a writer's panel at the main branch of the Tacoma Public Library. Entitled "Creating Comics: A conversation with Robert Kirkman," this two hour panel (from 11:00am - 1:00pm) will let fans both young and old ask questions of Robert in an intimate setting.
Then, on the following Wednesday, October 26th, Robert will be in sunny California appearing at Comic Relief (2026 Shattuck Ave, Berkeley, CA 94704) from 6:30pm-9:00pm.
"Comic Relief: The Comic Bookstore is very pleased to be able to offer Bay Area comic readers a chance to meet the talented Robert Kirkman at his only S.F. appearance this year," said owner Rory Root. "And on a personal note, I'll finally get a chance to get my Walking Dead books signed."
The signing will be Kirkman's last appearance until the 2006 San Diego Comic Con!
