The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art, located at 37 Myrtle Avenue in Dover, New Jersey, will be hosting an open house Saturday, April 24 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.

“We get a lot of inquiries from aspiring artists and cartoonists,“ Joe Kubert explains, “The open house allows interested students to meet and talk to both faculty and graduates and get a feel for what it’s like to be a part of this dynamic creative environment. It’s really the best way to see if the school is a good fit.”

In addition to guided tours through the newly-renovated school building, visitors will have the chance to meet faculty including Joe and his sons’ Adam and Andy. Visitors will be able to view the work of instructors, alumni and select current students at the Open House Art Show. Plus, there will be the opportunity to enter a raffle to win prizes including signed comics by Joe, Adam, and Andy Kubert.

Also, the first ever sketchbook by all three Kuberts will be making its debut at the open house. It’s a large-format (9”x13”) book featuring 50 pages of artwork by Joe, Adam, and Andy.

The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art is unique and the only one of its kind.  Founded by world-renowned cartoonist, Joe Kubert, this school has been the incubator for some of today's leading artists in the comic industry including Adam and Andy Kubert.  Graduates of the school are employed by the leading comic book publishers, advertising agencies, animation studios and computer game companies.
