This July, the fourth annual issue of Licensable Bear hits stores across the English-speaking world, and your message could be on the cover of every single copy, as spoken by lead character Licensable Bear himself! This is your opportunity to get your message, your announcement, your ad in a special place. Announce your love for someone! Promote your website! Advertise your own comic book!

Licensable Bear is about a cute li'l critter  who just wants to license his name and likeness for products and promotions. Each issue of this series is a stand-alone issue with multiple stories. All of the stories are written by two-time Eisner Award nominee Nat Gertler, and drawn by a variety of interesting artists. This issue includes tales about self-help programs, vitamins, the presidential election… and a patriotic hero returns from the grave!

All money raised in this auction go to The Hero Initiative, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping comic book veterans by providing financial aid for emergency situations, medical care, necessities of life, and a lending hand into getting back on their feet.

The auction begins on May 16, 2007 and bidding is open at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190113703545 .

4. In the event that the message submitted is in violation of the above, the winning bidder will be given the opportunity to submit an acceptable message, or to turn down the opportunity, which will then pass down to the next highest bidder.

5. The winner's name and price paid will be included on the cover. The name can be a corporate name or website, but it cannot be the name or website of a retail outlet that deals significantly in comics, games, trading cards, or material for the comics fan.
