Lost Dogs
Despite his intimidating 8 foot, 350 pound stature, Ulric is a simple man…a quiet and gentle farmer. Living a serene life in turn of the century Europe, with his loving wife and young daughter, Ulric has all he needs. However, his peaceful existence is shattered during a rare trip to the city. After a brutal attack, Ulric is left beaten, disoriented and separated from his family.
Seen only as a hulking monster by those he encounters, Ulric is thrown into a lonely and violent journey that takes him through seedy shipping yards, vicious underground boxing matches and across the ocean, as he desperately fights to hold onto his family, and his dignity.
LOST DOGS is the new Xeric award winning graphic novel by Toronto based cartoonist and illustrator Jeff Lemire. The 96 page, perfect bound volume will be printed in Black & White & Red, and ships to comic stores in September 2005.
