Mark Strong in Sinestro Talks

Variety reports that British actor Mark Strong (Stardust, Sherlock Holmes) is in talks to join the cast of Green Lantern as Hal Jordan’s nemesis Sinestro.
The villainous Sinestro was once the greatest of the Green Lanterns until Hal Jordan exposed his abuse of power, and the one time hero was stripped of his power. Sinestro vows revenge on Jordan and tries to accomplish this with his newfound yellow ani-matter power ring.
Strong would join Ryan Renolds and Blake Lively who are set to play Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris.
Peter Sarsgaard is also in talks to play villain Hector Hammond.
Martin Campbell (Casino Royale, The Mask of Zorro) is set to direct the intergalactic epic.
The film will start shooting in March with a projected release date of June 17, 2011.
