Marvel has started a new wave of teasers and it begins with a dark image of Daredevil.
Broken Frontier is creating a total teaser overview and attached the first Shadowland-teasers beneath.
Marvel is releasing teasers with pivotal events happening to the nitty-gritty heroes of New York, foreboding into the Shadowland event.
It was announced officially at C2E2 that the Shadowland is coming to Marvel Comics this July. It will be a multi-character crossover that will be knee-deep in Daredevil mythos, but it was also revealed that many singular characters from the street-level of New York, will be coming into play. Marvel started with a new teaser-campagne by releasing a new teaser, presenting various showdowns.

These Shadowland covers/preview images are fantastic. I'm rather embarrassed to admit that I haven't read most of Brubaker's run-up, as the long run by Smith/Bendis left such a bad taste in my mouth that I abandoned the character for some time. I guess it's time to get back into it.

Yes there's an insane amount of tie-ins/one-shots to this one that make it more likely, I think, that I will just drop DAREDEVIL rather than get parts of the story. Looks very intriguing, admittedly, but I'm too old and cynical for this kind of marketing strategy now. ;)

Yeah us old farts aren't as easily fooled by these marketing ploys as the younger crop of comics readers :p And what's up with that second teaser image at the top? Has DD finally stepped over into some kind of bondage fetish with his own billy club? He sure looks happy tied up like that ...
