HAUNT, the highly anticipated new title from Todd McFarlane and Robert Kirkman, hits stores this Wednesday, October 7th! The new ongoing series features an all-star creative cast consisting of writer, Kirkman (WALKING DEAD, INVINCIBLE), layout artist, Greg Capullo (SPAWN, THE CREECH), penciller, Ryan Ottley (INVINCIBLE), inker, McFarlane (SPAWN, SPIDER-MAN), colorist Fco Plascencia (INVINCIBLE) and letterer, Richard Starkings (ELEPHANTMEN). After a challenge from Kirkman in 2006, McFarlane teamed up with the New York Times best-selling author to bring the marketplace the most imaginative and daring new hero to date.
“One of the more satisfying parts of being an artist is giving birth to these creative children. After spending enough years raising and honing Spawn, Robert nudged me to try a hand at giving birth again. The outcome, combined with Robert’s writing abilities, as well as the art skills of Ottley and Capullo, I’m extremely proud of," McFarlane said.
Kirkman added, “McFarlane, Capullo, Ottley, Plascencia, Starkings--you couldn't find a better team of collaborators. I couldn't be prouder of this book. This is definitely a high note in my career.”
HAUNT centers on a pair of brothers, Kurt and Daniel Kilgore, who act more like adversaries than family. Kurt, a secret agent, and Daniel, a less than holy priest, bond in a way neither of them expects after Kurt's untimely death. A surprise fusing of Kurt's ghost with Daniel's body creates a chain reaction, turning the brothers into the character, Haunt. HAUNT #1 (AUG090285), a 32-page full color comic book for $2.99, on sale Wednesday, October 7th, with five variant covers available. To find retailers visit www.comicshoplocator.com.
