Over on his Myspace blog , Brad Meltzer has revealed the standard cover to next week's Justice League of America #8, the start of the crossover between DC's premier super teams, the JLA and JSA. The cover is pencilled by Michael Turner, with colors by Peter Steigerwald. A variant edition of Justice League of America #8 will also be available on April 18, featuring art by Phil Jimenez.
The solicitation for the issue reads: Beginning the long awaited, epic crossover between the new Justice League and the new Justice Society, uniting the combined writing talents of best-selling author Brad Meltzer and comics mega-star Geoff Johns for the ultimate team-up! “The Lightning Saga” 5-parter begins with the mystery of who Trident is, and how his identity crisis will change everything!
Along with the cover image, the writer posted the following comment:
Seven days until JLA/JSA kicks off, so here's a peek at Michael Turner's actual cover. Also, just got the new covers for all the novel covers (publisher is redoing them all (from Tenth Justice to Zero Game) for when The Book of Fate comes out in paperback in 2 weeks). As I get the final images, I'll post them here next week as well.
Plus, wait till you see who's doing the intro for the JLA hardcover collecting The Tornado's Path...
