Broken Frontier

It's just been announced that artist Michael Golden will be taking part in the annual Members Open at the renowned Society of Illustrators in Manhattan, as artistic members of the "red door" band together in a display that encompasses some of the best that the illustration field has to offer.

Helping to carry on this time honored tradition, award-winning creator Michael Golden will have two rare pieces of original art on display throughout the show: A madly detailed Captain America piece, and the original cover for the highly acclaimed The 'Nam #5 . Both on loan from a private collector.

Golden himself and his work will be the focus of several major publications due for summer release this year: The much anticipated art book exploring his entire career from Vanguard Productions, Excess: The Art of Michael Golden; as well as two releases from TwoMorrows Publishing, the tradepaperback Modern Masters: Michael Golden, and the DVD In the Studio with Michael Golden .

While the opening reception for The 18th Annual Members Open at the Society of Illustrators--open to the general public-- is slated for June 28th, from 5:30-8:30 in Manhattan at 128 East 63rd St., the exhibit will continue to be on display June 27th-July 28th.
