This January Viper Comics will kick off the second volume of their critically acclaimed series THE MIDDLEMAN by selling the first issue for only 99 cents.
The book was created by Javier Grillo-Marxuach a writer and supervising producer on ABC’s Emmy Award winning smash hit “LOST” and EISNER NOMINEE Les McClaine. “We wanted to give readers who missed out on the first series an opportunity to preview the Middle Man at a more than reasonable price. You can’t beat it for 99 cents,” said Viper Publisher Jessie Garza.
Wendy Watson thought she had it tough as a struggling young artist working a string of meaningless McJobs...until she was recruited into the world’s most ludicrously secret organization. In Vol. II the theft of the world’s rarest diamond by masked wrestlers is only the beginning of a world of trouble for the Middle Man and Wendy.
Also in January, Viper will be releasing the trade paperback of Middle Man Vol. I, with an introduction by Paul Dini, a pin-up gallery and much more.
REVIEWS:
“THE MIDDLEMAN is a quirky little jaunt through MEN IN BLACK-type territory in
glorious indie black and white.” –AintItCool.com
“…its energetic combination of over-the-top zany science fiction and
situational comedy translates into a bundle of fun.” –Chud.com
“…a story filled with splendid dialogue from a spunky female protagonist, heart- pounding action against a creature that would do H.P. Lovecraft proud, and a
brave, yet mysterious hero straight out of a 1940s pulp comic! All of this,
plus a good dose of humor, and trust me, you’ll love it!” –ComicFanatic.com
