Broken Frontier

The Dynamite Monsters first crossover shipped into stores just this last week, and Dynamite Entertainment is pleased to announce that the first issue of the Monster War (FEB05 1646 ) cross-over with Top Cow Productions has been met with a warm reception from the fans.

“Well, we just got word that the first issue is sold-out from Diamond late Friday afternoon, and while there may be some copies available at the retail level, we imagine they’re going fast as well,” explained Dynamite Spokesperson J. Allen. “We have no plans to reprint #1 at this time.”

The 4 issue series is written by Chris (Buffy/Angel) Golden and Tom (Buffy) Sniegoski, illustrated by Joyce (Superman Covers) Chin, and the sold-out first issue sets up the entire series, and features Magdalena vs. Dracula as well as 4 covers that shipped in equal increments: Joyce Chin, Marc Silvestri, Joseph Michael Linsner, and E-Bas.

To help retailers gauge the increased attention this series has, Top Cow and Dynamite are pushing back the release date.   Issue #2 -- TOMB RAIDER VS. THE WOLF-MEN: MONSTER WAR #2 (MAR05 1735 ) – hits shelves and racks in June, and is written by Chris Golden and Tom Sniegoski, illustrated by Joyce Chin and features two covers by series artist Joyce Chin and Eric (Magdalena) Basaldua in equal 50/50 quantities! (NOTE: For every 25 copies of Monster War Tomb Raider vs. Wolf Men #2 ordered, retailers will receive a rare b&w Joyce Chin cover edition for free.)

Issue #3 -- WITCHBLADE VS. FRANKENSTEIN’S MONSTER: MONSTER WAR #3  (APR05 1722 ) -- written by Chris Golden and Tom Sniegoski, illustrated by Joyce Chin features two covers by series artist Joyce Chin and t’k in equal 50/50 quantities! (NOTE: For every 25 copies of Monster War Tomb Raider vs. Wolf Men #2 ordered, retailers will receive a rare b&w Joyce Chin cover edition for free.)
