In an age where Indy Publishers come and go in the blink of an eye, reaching your ten-year anniversary is quite an achievement. Recognizing this, the good folks Moonstone Books have planned an exciting, yearlong celebration beginning at next week’s San Diego Comic Con International on July 13th. Moonstone will have special treats for fans and retailers alike, with creator appearances, special edition books and many giveaway items in booth #2042.
Moonstone will debut the following highly anticipated books at the convention:
REVISIONARY #1 by Paul D. (Gotham Girls) Storrie & Eric (Rex Mundi) J!
Having visions of the future is no guarantee you’ll live to see it.
BELLE STARR #1 by Mark (Iron Man) Ricketts & Steve (Batman) Buccellato!
She was a real life western bandit, whose death remains a mystery today.
WYATT EARP #2 by Chuck (Nightwing) Dixon & Enrique (Punisher) Villagran!
Law and order isn’t easy as Wyatt takes all the guns away.
Stop by the Moonstone booth on Saturday to meet and chat with the following Moonstone creators:
11am-Noon: artist Steve Buccellato (BELLE STAR)
11am-1pm: writer Len Kody (CISCO KID, MOONSTONE MONSTERS)
1pm-3pm: cover painter David Michael Beck (BELLE STAR, KOLCHAK, and the upcoming BUCKAROO BANZAI)
1pm-3pm: writer Joe Gentile (KOLCHAK, WEREWOLF, MYSTERIOUS TRAVELER)
3pm-5pm: artist Eric J (REVISIONARY, and in the near future: THE PHANTOM)
3pm-5pm: writer Ben Raab (THE PHANTOM)
Stop by the booth on Free Preview Night and throughout the convention and get your FREE stuff. Moonstone will be giving away BUCKAROO BANZAI buttons and the first two issues of CYCLONE BILL---limited quantities available, they won’t last long, so get yours while you can!
And as a special treat for retailers, Moonstone will be providing the dessert at the Diamond Retailer Breakfast by giving each attending retailer a free Moonstone Sampler bag. Each bag will have 4 publications, a combination of comics, graphic novels, and trade paperbacks, one copy of either THE PHANTOM or KOLCHAK, one western, one crime-noir, and one horror book. One (or more) of the 4 books in each bag will be signed by one or more of the books creators.
Before and after the convention, make sure you stop by the newly remodeled Moonstone website at www.moonstonebooks.com for all the latest information and to sign up for the Moonstone Newsletter.
